Whereas UTA is considered a commuter school; and
Whereas There are many transfer students who come to UTA after attending another institution of higher learning; and
Whereas Many of these students come to UTA with a great deal of experience in Student Government or other leadership experience; and
Whereas Some of those students may be denied the opportunity to run for President or Vice-President based on the ratio of having to complete 24 hours at UTA; and
Whereas The amount of time spent at UTA, since it is a commuter school, does not necessarily show that a student is either involved with the institution or has a greater knowledge or love for the institution.
