| Whereas | The parking situation on campus is, at times, very difficult; and |
| Whereas | UTA is seeking to increase retention of students; and |
| Whereas | Giving small, yet appreciable, benefits to the upper-class students can encourage retention; and |
| Whereas | The most noticeable benefit would be reserved parking. |
| Be It Further Resolved That | UTA initiate a new parking system by which a number of close spaces be reserved by academic class year. |
