Remarks | FAILED - Finding out what affects students is already the job of Student Congress, according to the committee. |
Whereas | Students are an important part of the campus community; and |
Whereas | Student are often left out of important decision making; and |
Whereas | The Student Congress is the representative body of the students; and |
Whereas | All external Student Congress legislation is refereed to one of various non-student bodies. |
Be It Further Resolved That | All university policy changes that directly affect students be presented to the Student Congress for consideration before their final consideration by the President of the University; and |
Be It Further Resolved That | The Executive committee shall vote on which issues deserve consideration; and |
Be It Further Resolved That | The Executive committee may call for immediate votes if an issue needs immediate consideration; and |
Be It Further Resolved That | That the Student Congress, by simple majority may override any executive committee decision on these issues. |
