Remarks FAILED - Finding out what affects students is already the job of Student Congress, according to the committee.
Whereas Students are an important part of the campus community; and
Whereas Student are often left out of important decision making; and
Whereas The Student Congress is the representative body of the students; and
Whereas All external Student Congress legislation is refereed to one of various non-student bodies.
Be It Further Resolved That All university policy changes that directly affect students be presented to the Student Congress for consideration before their final consideration by the President of the University; and
Be It Further Resolved That The Executive committee shall vote on which issues deserve consideration; and
Be It Further Resolved That The Executive committee may call for immediate votes if an issue needs immediate consideration; and
Be It Further Resolved That That the Student Congress, by simple majority may override any executive committee decision on these issues.
