Remarks FAILED - Summary dismissals would cause many new problems, according to the committee.
Whereas Students appealing parking citations are frequently forced to rescedule their appeals due to non-attendance of Parking Appeals Committee members; and
Whereas It should not be the appellant's problem and/or responsibility to reschedule his/her appeal date if the committee is unable to meet due to poor attendance.
Be It Further Resolved That Should the Parking Appeals Committee be forced to cancel a scheduled meeting due to poor attendance by Parking Appeals Committee members, any and all students who have scheduled an appeal for that date and are present at the meeting shall have their citations summarily dismissed; and
Be It Further Resolved That There MUST be a minimum of three student members on the Parking Appeals Committee. The practice of filling seats on the Committee with any available faculty and/or staff members shall be discontinued immediately; and
Be It Further Resolved That This resolution shall take effect starting in the Fall 1994 semester.
