Whereas Students must carry a large number of books back and forth between several classes; and
Whereas Students may have too many books than can fit in one backpack; and
Whereas It is not practical for a student to leave books in a car and then return for them before the class starts; and
Whereas Theft of a backpack full of textbooks and other valuables could put a student at a loss of several hundred dollars.
Be It Further Resolved That Lockers be installed in the University Center and the Central Library; and
Be It Further Resolved That Students will not be charged for storing items in the lockers. The students could bring their own combination locks from home; and
Be It Further Resolved That The new lockers shall be in UTA's spirit colors of blue and white; and
Be It Further Resolved That These lockers could possibly be moved or donated by the owners of the lockers in the Engineering, Nursing, Fine Arts, and Architecture buildings, which are under-used.
