| Whereas | The Arlington City Council, AISD School Board and almost all representative and governmental bodies say the Pledge of Allegiance at the beginning of their meetings; and |
| Whereas | This demonstates respect toward the United States and the courageous men and women that have and are presently defending it; and |
| Whereas | The UTA Student Congress is a representative governmental body that discusses campus and community issues. |
| Be It Further Resolved That | The Pledge of Allegiance be said at the beginning of each Student Congress general meeting by those who choose to do so. |
