| Whereas | Many of UTA's students work full time and prefer to attend school year round; and |
| Whereas | Many students prefer to attend summer sessions and often their GPA's reflect this; and |
| Whereas | UTA has an extended break over Christmas and a three week break after Spring and before Summer; and |
| Whereas | Many universities nationwide use this time for an intense three-week mini-term. |
