Whereas Recent publications have ranked UTA at the lower end as a quality institution; and
Whereas UTA needs to remove the label as "a college of last resort;" and
Whereas UTA could improve the academic excellence of its students by removing the students who dilute the system and may not be able to succeed here in the first place; and
Whereas By removing these students, this would free up more time for the professors to teach class at a tempo conducive to adequate learning; and
Whereas The proposal before the Undergraduate Assembly is not just an "Admissions Upgrade" but a comprehensive academic proposal that has been unfairly painted as a radical piece of legislation.
Be It Further Resolved That UTA adopt the admissions proposal before the undergraduate assembly in order to increase the academic relationship of UTA and the worth of a degree attained here.
