| Whereas | UTA is one of the largest schools without a football program; and |
| Whereas | UTA students have long been looking for other sports to fill the void felt with no such program; and |
| Whereas | Volleyball is an up-and-coming sport that is both fun to play and equally as exciting to watch; and |
| Whereas | UTA has already shown that they can build a quality volleyball program at a substantially cheaper cost than a football program; and |
| Whereas | Dr. Amacher has already expressed interest in getting a sports complex built with the city to replace holding sports events in Texas Hall, which another sport could help fill. |
| Be It Further Resolved That | Dr. Amacher further the feasibility of beginning a Men's Volleyball program here at UTA by appointing a committee within the Athletic Department and act upon its results as soon as available. |
