| Whereas | The UTA Forensics Team has vigorously competed in 30 speaking tournaments this year; and |
| Whereas | The UTA Forensics Team recently hosted the national Debate Tournament on March 27-31 in which the UTA Debate Team competed; and |
| Whereas | Each team member must earn the right to compete at the National Individual Events Tournament by winning a certain number of speaking events during the school year; and |
| Whereas | The team members that have earned the right to represent UTA in National competition are: Ronnie Molina, Matt Johnson, Cheree Stringer, Joshua Howard, Curtis Henderson, Jennifer Emerson, Falicia Ferrell-Grieser, Amberly Ferrell, Chuck Ellis, and Nathan Cole; and |
| Whereas | Carrol Hickey, UTA Forensics Team Director, Stated, "This year's team will be competing in more duo events at the National Tournament than ever before. The group is really working together as a team and winning;" and |
| Whereas | The Forensics Team will be traveling to the University of Missouri at St. Louis April 11-14 to compete against the very best and represent UTA. |
