Whereas There is a great concern among the students of the Brazos Dorm about the availability fo food in the University Center; and
Whereas Many students who live in the dorms have a meal card and cannot use it when the food establishments are closed on the weekends; and
Whereas The Corral is open Sat. & Sun. from 11 am to 5 pm, however doem residents cite numerous complaints about food quality; and
Whereas No food establishments in the University Center are open on the weekends, with the exception of the nutritious vending machines.
Be It Further Resolved That The Grillworks food establishment in the University Center be open Sat. from 11 am to 2pm for lunch and Sat. from 6 pm to 9 pm for dinner, and Sunday from 11am to 2pm for lunch and Sunday from 6 pm to 9 pm for a 30-day trial period; and
Be It Further Resolved That From a cost standpoint, if it is proven that students are not taking advantage of this opportunity, the policy of being closed on Sat. and Sun. be put back into place; and
Be It Further Resolved That That ARA publicize the trial hours to the residents of Brazos Dorm and Lipscomb Hall to make the best use of this opportunity.
