| Whereas | There are many licensed drivers in the State of Texas who have/not secured financial responsibility in the form of Liability Insurance; and |
| Whereas | In order to combat this problem, the State of Texas established a policy as of September 1, 1991, that in order to register or inspect a vehicle or in order to obtain a driver's license one must acquire Liability Insurance; and |
| Whereas | Uninsured motorists that are involved in accidents cause undue financial hardship on insured drivers they happen to become involved in an accident with; and |
| Whereas | The parking official police department should enforce the law of the stale and protect its students who comply with said laws |
| Be It Further Resolved That | UTA students, before issued a parking sticker, be required to show proof of Liability insurance |
