Remarks FAILED - In memo dated June 26, 1991, University President Nedderman said that, "it would not be prudent to expand hours of operation."
Whereas Night students have the same allocation of Student Service Fees go to the Health Center; and
Whereas Night students cannot fully utilize the Health Center do to early closing; and
Whereas There is a signifigant portion of UTA students in dormitories, UTA housing, and other housing within a close radius; and
Whereas Health services at a major hospital would much be more expensive in relation to the Health Center.
Be It Further Resolved That The Health Centerstay open until the hours of 10:00 pm in order to accomodate these students; and
Be It Further Resolved That The facility be staffed with at least two (2) persons, either a combination Doctor - nurse or two (2) nurses, or sufficient medical personnel (i.e. student nurses); and
Be It Further Resolved That This shall be in place by the 2nd Monday of the Fall 1991 Semester; and
Be It Further Resolved That This shall be done on a trial basis and re-evaluated by the Community Affairs Committee.
