| Whereas | It is the best interest of all citizens to be culturally aware and culturally sensitive to diverse groups within our society; and |
| Whereas | The success of our citizens both locally and internationally depends on our ability to appreciate and relate to people of different cultures; and |
| Whereas | The scope of our existence is increasingly a global one. |
| Be It Further Resolved That | The UTA implement an academic requirement for each undergraduate student to participate in some type of multi-cultural sensitivity and awareness course. |
