| Whereas | The University of Texas at Arlington is composed of students from many different areas within the metroplex; and |
| Whereas | The professors, administrators, and staff are also from many diverse locations in the metroplex; and |
| Whereas | Many students have jobs in various locations; and |
| Whereas | The PUC no longer allows pay phones to offer metro service. |
| Be It Further Resolved That | The Student Congress of UTA request its executive committee to formulate a letter of disapproval of the PUC's policy; and |
| Be It Further Resolved That | All Student Congress members supporting the protest of the PUC's policy sign this letter; and |
| Be It Further Resolved That | Mr. Dudley Wetzel and Dr. Wendell Nedderman be requested to submit brief letters of support for the Student Congress protest, to be included in the mailing of the Student Congress letter to the PUC. |
