Whereas The Division of Student Affairs has explored creative ways of encouraging student participation in on-campus events at the University of Texas at Arlington; and
Whereas The University of Texas at Arlington Student Affairs Department has brought in events featuring big names such as Ludacris, Carlos Mencia, and Maya Angelou to UTA; and
Whereas Due to the diverse population at UTA, it is hard to find one act that fits the demographic of the University of Texas at Arlington, thereby complicating the process of determining which act or group is appropriate to bring to UTA; and
Whereas The University of Texas at Arlington has had trouble finding ways of creating events that target older/non-traditional students and commuter students.
