Remarks | FAILED - Considered a bad idea because it is infeasible to impede the motion of vehicles during the time periods requested. |
Whereas | UT Arlington has a large student body; and |
Whereas | Most if not all of these students move through pedestrian areas of campus to get to their classes; and |
Whereas | Trucks and other vehicles move through these same pedestrian areas; and |
Whereas | The posibility of injury to a pedestrian exists; and |
Whereas | One goal of UT Arlington's master plan is to make the campus more pedestrian friendly. |
Be It Further Resolved That | Trucks, mules, and other vehicles be prohibited movement and access inside pedestrian areas of campus during the ten minutes preceding every hour during the hours of 8:00 am and 2:00 pm Monday through Friday. |
