| Remarks | FAILED. The cost of the equipment exceeds the benefits gained. |
| Whereas | The UTA Health Center has an X-ray machine and some limited pathological test equipment but no ultrasound machine for its patients; and |
| Whereas | An ultrasound machine is one of the most important and widely used diagnostic machines for detecting intestinal aberrations, kidney disorders, soft tissue tumors, etc. very accurately; and |
| Whereas | Currently UTA students with such disorders have to wait up to a month to get an appointment with outside clinics to have an ultrasound test; and |
| Whereas | Beside the fact that outside clinics are most of the time expensive, this long waiting time is stressful to the students and could be detrimental to their health. |
| Be It Further Resolved That | The UTA Health Center install an ultrasound machine for its patients to better serve their health needs. |
