| Whereas | The student community at UT Arlington is concerned with many political issues such as public transportation and the establishment of a permanent voting precinct on campus; and |
| Whereas | Students living within a dormitory or residence hall are legally allowed to change their voter registration to reflect that location as their voting residence; and |
| Whereas | Voter registration drives, carried out both by branches of student governance and by independent student organizations, take place annually targeting students who live on or near campus. |
| Be It Further Resolved That | Voter registration forms be included in information packets given to all incoming freshman and transfer students at orientation. |
