| Whereas | Many housing facilities on campus are wired for Ethernet and UTA wireless; and |
| Whereas | UTA apartments that have UTA Ethernet connections do not have UTA wireless service such as: Meadow Run, Arbor Oaks, Timber Brook and Residence Halls;and |
| Whereas | UTA Internet Usage Policy prohibits the use of wireless routers on UTA Ethernet connections; and |
| Whereas | Many residents of said properties have laptops with wireless capabilities and are unable to access the internet included in the residents' rent. |
| Be It Further Resolved That | UTA amend its Internet Usage Policy to allow such routing devices or install wireless coverage to said properties. |
| Be It Further Resolved That | UTA provide outside hotspots throughout the campus to provide a true wireless campus. |
