| Whereas | Transportation remains an issue on the UTA campus for students, faculty, and staff; and |
| Whereas | There are a limited number of buses and few that can lift large wheelchairs; and |
| Whereas | Many of the wheelchairs that students are using will not fit onto the ramps of the shuttles; and |
| Whereas | Students with disabilities, especially students that are blind or utilize wheelchairs, are afraid and not able to safely cross UTA Blvd., |
| Be It Further Resolved That | UTA invest in more buses to provide for a safer and friendly campus to all students. |
| Be It Further Resolved That | All new shuttle buses be universal design and be capable of lifting wheelchairs of all shapes and sizes allowing easy access into shuttle buses. |
| Be It Further Resolved That | That an increased period of time be allowed elaspe between new purchases, so as to cover the increase costs. |
