| Remarks | The Math Department does not have enough funds or staff at this time to purchase more math software or keep the clinic open for additional hours. |
| Whereas | The University already has a computer lab located on the third floor of Pickard Hall; and |
| Whereas | Students enrolled in upper-level math courses need to use Mathematica and SAS statistical software package; and |
| Whereas | Students enrolled in the lower-level math classes need to log onto computers to complete homework assignments; and |
| Whereas | The computer lab does not have many available hours to the students; and |
| Whereas | The math clinic has no computers available to students. |
| Be It Further Resolved That | The Math department open more available hours for the computer lab or place a few computers in the Math Clinic. |
| Be It Further Resolved That | Those available computers have the Mathematica and the SAS software already installed into the computers with internet access. |
