| Whereas | The University has recently outlined some of its 'Mavericks Go Green' initiatives, one of which is waste reduction; and |
| Whereas | Examples of waste reduction initiatives include UT Arlington employees switching to 'paperless' earning statements and professors no longer providing paper copies of syllabi to their students (they are available online); and |
| Whereas | The current default settings for documents to be printed on campus include the printing of a cover sheet with various information including the Net ID, job title, time, date, and print quota information. |
| Be It Further Resolved That | The default settings for documents to be printed be changed to include optional printing of the cover sheet (to reduce waste and the current associated costs of printing jobs); and |
| Be It Further Resolved That | Cover sheets will still be printed in facilities where an individual retrieves the print jobs from an OIT employee to maintain print job identification ease. |
