Remarks FAILED - Not highly visible to the public according to the city. Extremely expensive ($400,000-$500,000) and towers are only painted once every 10 years.
Whereas Water towers are city landmarks; and
Whereas The city of Arlington officials want to have connections with the University and vice versa; and
Whereas We want to bring city officials and the University of Texas at Arlington closer together; and
Whereas UTA could increase its visibility by having its logo on at least one Arlington water tower; and
Whereas Other universities have implemented similar programs, such as Aggieland.
Be It Further Resolved That The UTA official logo be displayed on at least one side of each water tower in the city.
