| Whereas | The city and the university lack school pride; and |
| Whereas | Many cities display banderoles along and near by university areas; and |
| Whereas | Implementing a banderole program would not only increase visibility, but also school pride among the student and local community; and |
| Whereas | Such is the case at Texas A&M, Texas Christian University, and many others. |
| Be It Further Resolved That | The city and the university collaborate to develop and establish a program for banderoles to be displayed along city streets especially near the university campus. |
