| Whereas | Many traditional universities such as University of Texas, Texas Christian University, Southern Methodist University, Florida State University and University of California at Berkeley, have a Parent's Day and/or a Sibling Day; and |
| Whereas | Both Parent and Sibling Days are excellent ways to encourage support of the University and recruit potential Mavericks; and |
| Whereas | Obviously these programs provide value and encourage parents and families to become involved in and take pride in the institution as these events are an annual tradition at countless universities. |
| Be It Further Resolved That | The University of Texas at Arlington Student Congress fully supports the idea and implementation of a Parent's Day and/or Siblings Day; and |
| Be It Further Resolved That | The University of Texas at Arlington Student Congress supports an annual Parent's Day for the future. |
