Remarks The main post office does not accept credit card receipts as a permanent form of payment and the University would have to re-pay the post office daily for service. UTA would also have to pay a credit company for service. Taking into consideration cost and benefit, this would not work out financially for the university.
Whereas UTA currently offers the service of a post office that allows students to both send and receive mail; and
Whereas This is a beneficial feature for both on-campus and off-campus students who do not have time to go to an off-campus post office; and
Whereas The UTA post office only accepts cash for payment, which does not allow students who do not carry cash to use this service nor is there anywhere in the University Center to get cash back other than the ATM machine, which charges student not associated with that specific bank.
Be It Further Resolved That The UTA post office installs a register so that students can also use cash, credit card, or debit card for payment of services.
