Whereas | Cycling is a popular form of transportation for many UT Arlington students; and |
Whereas | Walking is coincidentally a popular method of moving about; and |
Whereas | Cyclists are in danger of striking pedestrians, especially around lunchtime. |
Be It Further Resolved That | The UTA administration and Student Congress investigate the possibility of adding paths designated for cyclists only; and |
Be It Further Resolved That | Other methods of reducing the risk of accidents caused by a pedestrian being struck by a bicycle are sought; and |
Be It Further Resolved That | It is suggested that the university add bicycle paths in the Library Mall and immediate area that have bicycles traveling in a direction opposite of foot traffic. |
