Remarks
Whereas Cycling is a popular form of transportation for many UT Arlington students; and
Whereas Walking is coincidentally a popular method of moving about; and
Whereas Cyclists are in danger of striking pedestrians, especially around lunchtime.
Be It Further Resolved That The UTA administration and Student Congress investigate the possibility of adding paths designated for cyclists only; and
Be It Further Resolved That Other methods of reducing the risk of accidents caused by a pedestrian being struck by a bicycle are sought; and
Be It Further Resolved That It is suggested that the university add bicycle paths in the Library Mall and immediate area that have bicycles traveling in a direction opposite of foot traffic.
