Remarks
Whereas UTA is looking for ways to be the most competitive for Tier 1 status, one of which is by becoming a premier research institution; and
Whereas Students and faculty currently have to pay other institutions, such as UTSW in Dallas, for the chance to conduct neuroimaging research; and
Whereas This is very time consuming and an expensive way to do research because it sends UTA research dollars to other institutions and researchers and research participants must commute long distances.
Be It Further Resolved That UTA strongly considers creating an imaging center on campus for science and engineering research to take place in Arlington, saving researchers at the university time and money to pave the way for more efficient research and save grant money.
