Whereas The College of Business advising office does not allow business students to take a foreign language class to count as a non-business elective,
Whereas The College of Business only allows students to take certain language courses if the student is an international business major,
Whereas It is becoming important for students to be bilingual or multilingual because the business community is becoming more interconnected and transitional,
Whereas There is a demand for business students to take a foreign language course.
Whereas Allowing the College of Business students to take a foreign language course would increase capacity in foreign language courses.
Be It Further Resolved That The College of Business at UT Arlington allow business students to take foreign language courses as a non-business elective that counts towards their designated degree plan.
