| Whereas | Residence halls provide housing to over 2,000 students every year; and |
| Whereas | Many out-of-state and international students reside in residence halls; and |
| Whereas | Many students do not have family or relatives nearby where they can go during the breaks; and |
| Whereas | These students face many difficulties finding temporary residency during the winter break because housing does not allow students to live in residence halls during the winter break; |
| Be It Further Resolved That | University Housing should consider keeping a Residence Hall open during winter break allowing students to stay. |
