Whereas | The Palo Duro Lounge is a great resource to students and members of the Arlington community; and |
Whereas | During certain times of the day, the sun constantly glares into the space through the windows of the Palo Duro Lounge; and |
Whereas | This not only makes some areas of the lounge rather hot and uncomfortable but also creates a glare on the screens of devices that students are utilizing for studying; and |
Whereas | This takes away from the usability of the space and leaves an uncomfortable environment for studying and members of the Arlington community. |
Be It Further Resolved That | The University of Texas at Arlington seek the means to add a “Sun Shade†feature to the windows to help reduce the direct heat of the sun and glare that often enters the Palo Duro Lounge. |
