| Remarks | President Karbhari has requested that this be included in our contracts when renewed for all vendors and that this should be addressed as contracts come up for renewal |
| Whereas | Many vending machines on campus including the ones in the University Center and the Central Library do not accept cards; and |
| Whereas | Students who do not have cash on hand and want to grab a snack between classes cannot use these machines; and |
| Whereas | Many students are left without the option of utilizing the vending machines and the vending machines are losing profit that could be attained. |
| Be It Further Resolved That | In the next Request for Proposal for a vendor supplying vending machines, it be required for all vending machines to have an option to utilize credit and/or debit; and |
| Be It Further Resolved That | The university work with our current vendor to implement credit and/or debit card options for students until the Request for Proposal is sent out. |
