| Whereas | Sometime around 1999-2000 the hallway behind the Housing & Bursar's offices between the Plaza & the cafeteria was set aside as the 'UC Web Connection'; and |
| Whereas | This area provides tables, chairs, power and network connections; and |
| Whereas | This is a great resource for commuter students who bring their laptops to campus; and |
| Whereas | I discovered this resource through an article in the Shorthorn and used it while I commuted to campus for two years, but have not seen any advertisements or articles about it in the time since then; and |
| Whereas | This resource should be better known around campus so that more students may take advantage of it; and |
| Whereas | This resource is listed on many directional signs throughout the University Center, and there currently, however, is no sign on the entrance or within the 'web connection' explaining what it is or that it is a resource open to all students. |
| Be It Further Resolved That | A sign be placed on the entrance to the 'Web Connection', naming what it is; and |
| Be It Further Resolved That | A simple explanation be posted inside the 'Web Connection' as to what it is, who has provided it, who may use it, etc. |
