Whereas | UTA offers academic scholarships to many incoming freshmen and transfer students; and |
Whereas | These academic scholarships are typically renewable for up to four (4) years for incoming freshmen and up to three (3) years for incoming transfer students as long as they meet the renewal requirements; and |
Whereas | Many students finish their degree program in less than four(4) years (for incoming freshmen) or less than three (3) years (for incoming transfers)and decide to attain a higher level degree at UTA after that; and |
Whereas | Thus by graduating early, the student is unable to have the benefit of the remaining portion of their academic scholarship. |
Be It Further Resolved That | Students who have received a renewable academic scholarship for their undergraduate degree and graduate early are able to utilize the remaining portion of the scholarship toward their graduate degree. |
