Remarks The Student Senate concurred that having the option to recycle plastic bags outweight the cons of recycling plastic bags.
Whereas The UTA community is highly educated with the impact our actions have on the environment; and
Whereas There are sustainable systems implemented to reduce our carbon footprint as a university; and
Whereas Students continue to use plastic bags here on campus when they buy meals at the plaza or otherwise; and
Whereas This contributes heavily to man-made pollution cases.
Be It Further Resolved That : The University of Texas at Arlington provide recycling bins for plastic bags and advertise these bins extensively in order to cut plastic waste.
