| Whereas | The University of Texas at Arlington wants its students to have every resource available for a successful college career, and already provides alcohol awareness and other resources at their orientation; and |
| Whereas | Students are not properly provided the psychological resilience training during their new student orientation; and |
| Whereas | The health and psychological well-being of the students is the paramount focus of the university. |
| Be It Further Resolved That | The University of Texas at Arlington introduces a lengthier CAPS module to the new student orientation, with specific focus on suicide prevention. |
