| Remarks | The Student Senate felt that this resolution would greatly benefit students interested in attending health professional schools, such as medical school, after their undergraduate and a pre-health advisor would be able to guide such students through the processes needed to help them succeed. |
| Whereas | The University of Texas at Arlington prides itself on its growing population of College of Science students; and |
| Whereas | Many of these students have declared themselves are pre-professional students (pre-medicine, pre-dental, pre-pharm, pre-veterinarian, and etc); and |
| Whereas | Many of these pre-professional routes have many pre-requisites that students must complete during their undergraduate career before applying to professional schools; and |
| Whereas | Many students are the first in their family to declare a pre-professional route or plan to go to professional school after graduating; and |
| Whereas | The College of Science has submitted a proposal to the Provost's office to create a pre-med and pre-health advising office. |
| Be It Further Resolved That | The University of Texas at Arlington Student Government support the College of Science's proposal to establish a pre-health advisor for pre-health students to garner resources and have access to pre-health advisors. |
