| Whereas | UT Arlington has previously professed students safety as a priority; and |
| Whereas | With violence at schools around the nation on the rise; and |
| Whereas | Students feel unsafe walking on campus during early and late hours of the day; and |
| Whereas | There is no Blue Emergency Pole located between the Fine Arts Building and the Library Plaza, which presents a clear safety risk to students. |
| Be It Further Resolved That | At least one Blue Emergency Pole is placed in the area spanning between the Fine Arts Building and Library in order to ensure student safety in potential emergencies. |
