| Whereas | The University of Texas at Arlington has a large and diverse student population that came to UTA to succeed; and |
| Whereas | All UTA departments offer their students copious amounts of opportunities to expand their academic experience here on campus; and |
| Whereas | While students have many opportunities to expand their academic experience here at UTA, there are certain experiences and knowledge that you can only gain from other places through study abroad programs; and |
| Whereas | Some UTA academic departments provide more opportunities than others for study abroad programs, leaving many students at a disadvantage. |
| Be It Further Resolved That | UTA instigate a college wide initiative to offer more study aboard programs for students to participate in. |
