Remarks FAILED - The city did research and did not find this to be a problem.
Whereas The University of Texas at Arlington is growing; and
Whereas Because of this growth there is more car traffic in busy areas of campus; and
Whereas One of these busy locations on campus is the intersection of West St. and Mitchell St.; and
Whereas Because this location could be considered dangerous because of the 'yield on green' turn lane when turning Left (North) onto West St. from Mitchell; and
Whereas Many cars don't get a chance to turn in a given signal cycle.
Be It Further Resolved That The appropriate entity consider the installation of a 'Protected Left Turn from Mitchell St. onto West St.'
