Whereas Officials for Intramural Sports in the department of campus recreation currently are not properly trained in a) hands on refereeing and b) at least a full week of testing for the knowledge of the sport; and
Whereas Many student organizations or teams have gotten into arguments with whether the officials or the opposite team are correct; and
Whereas Here at the University of Texas at Arlington, we strive to show that all participants at this campus have some type of sportsmanship; and
Whereas The majority of the time, officials have no clue of what's going on due to the lack of knowledge of the sport.
Be It Further Resolved That Campus Recreation put their officials through many tests to prove that they are ready for the upcoming sport; and
Be It Further Resolved That These tests happen at least two weeks before the season starts giving the officials ample enough time to do some hands on training and other things to further their knowledge of the sport.
