Whereas 'University Center Emergency Evacuation Plan' maps are used by constituents not familiar with the building, to navigate within the U.C.; and
Whereas An indication does not exist (stating, for example: 'you are here') signifying, on those 'Plans,' where the student is located; and
Whereas It would be 'to say the least- a misfortunate situation, in the event of a fire, if students, unfamiliar with the U.C., looking at the map were incapable of locating their position in relation to the surroundings during that fire; and
Whereas It is known that this problem persists throughout the campus; and
Whereas Stickers are easily removed.
Be It Further Resolved That All 'University Center Emergency Evacuation Plan' maps in the U.C. have printed clearly in red ink, 'You Are Here.'; and
Be It Further Resolved That Not only the maps in the U.C. be altered, but that any map with such a problem have included the previously mentioned.
