Instead of banning cell phones in his classroom, film Associate Professor Bart Weiss put them on the syllabus. In his Video for iPhone class, he teaches how to write, produce, and direct videos for and with Apple’s popular smart phone.
There’s an art to creating moving, effective short-form videos in such a small format, and Weiss and his students are leading the way. In fact, theirs may be the only such college course in the country. In addition to creating the videos, the students can also try their hand at developing a video application for the device.
