Biology Assistant Professor Andre Pires da Silva has been awarded a three-year National Science Foundation grant for research that could improve the prevention of dangerous roundworm infections in animals and agriculture. Along with Associate Professor Diane C. Shakes at the College of William & Mary, Dr. Pires da Silva will explore the evolution of reproductive modes in the roundworm Rhabditis.
