Outstanding Academic Advisor Awards*

Outstanding Academic Advisor Award Nominations Deadline 2-16-18

This award was established to recognize outstanding academic advisement. Persons eligible for the Outstanding Academic Advisor Award include faculty members who are designated as academic advisors for undergraduate or graduate students and staff members whose primary responsibility is the academic advisement of undergraduate or graduate students. Nominees must be employed either full time or part time by UT Arlington and have held their current advising position for at least one year.

Has your advisor made a significant impact on your experience at UT Arlington? If so, then take a few minutes to nominate him or her as an Outstanding Academic Advisor!  Previous recipients are ineligible for the award for five years.  See Award Recipients Link for past winners.

Our Mission:

The University Advising Center (UAC) enhances student learning by maximizing student use of University resources, ensuring understanding of University policies and procedures, and encouraging campus and co-curricular involvement. Through purposeful interactions, Academic Advisors encourage freshman and undeclared students to focus on their academic success and to define personal goals to support their overall success towards degree completion. In addition, the University Advising Center facilitates professional and meaningful relationships with the UT Arlington community.
