AMA student organization recognized as an outstanding chapter at conference
American Marketing Association students attended the AMA International Collegiate Conference in New Orleans from March 30-April 1. The AMA ICC provides student marketers opportunities to connect with other student and professional marketers, participate in competitions and engage in real-world problem-solving sessions.

“I really wish I had joined AMA sooner; it was wonderful, and I am so grateful for the opportunity. The guest speakers had a great impact on me, it was refreshing to be able to connect and talk to them about my fears of moving into my new career after graduation, and they were such a big help,” stated Kristin Alderete, a first-time attendee, and an international business in French student.

AMA actively fundraises throughout the year so members can attend conference opportunities to gain invaluable insights. Jasmin Mejia states she hopes AMA can continue growing and improving at the competition session and wants to continue the momentum for 2024.

“The marketing competitions at the AMA ICC are often more challenging and complex than those at other marketing conferences, which can provide a unique learning opportunity for students,” says Jasmin Mejia, president of AMA, two-time ICC attendee, and a marketing and management student.
