Harry M. Dombroski Endowment honors former dean's legacy
The College of Business is excited to announce in honor of retiring dean Harry Dombroski’s leadership and service to students, alumni and friends have established an endowment in his name to further support student organizations and experiential learning experiences of students in the College.
Reflecting Dean Dombroski’s commitment to student success, the endowment will provide lasting support for business student organizations while expanding access to experiential learning opportunities that prepare students for success beyond graduation. Whether through internships, study abroad, undergraduate research or field experiences, the endowment will help students apply classroom knowledge in real-world settings, develop professional skills and build meaningful connections both personally and professionally.

Harry M. Dombroski served as the Dean of The University of Texas at Arlington’s College of Business from April 2018 to June 2026. He consistently achieved exceptional results by seeing the big picture through research and analysis, setting clear goals and empowering his team to deliver on them. He was adept at building relationships and working alongside top executives, boards of directors and business partners. In addition, Dean Dombroski was a highly creative problem-solver valued for his ability to identify critical issues, prioritize challenges, focus strategies and create and implement effective solutions.
As a UTA alumnus (BBA) and Certified Public Accountant with the State of Texas, Harry brought a unique business perspective to the College of Business. Dean Dombroski was a longtime senior officer with Hunt Consolidated Inc., one of the largest privately held companies in the nation, where he had a distinguished career in several key roles. During his tenure as dean, the College of Business initiated several new initiatives, including the formation of the Dean’s Leadership Circle, MAVS100, The Business Maverick (College of Business magazine), the Sam Mahrouq Financial Markets Lab and the establishment of the Dr. Jackie Fouse Connection Court. Recently, the College announced the creation of a Career Services Center, which will offer students career coaching, employer engagement, experiential learning connections and professional development programming.
Prior to becoming Dean in 2018, he served on The University of Texas at Arlington’s College of Business Advisory Council since 2007, holding several positions, including President. He also served as Chair of the University’s Advisory Council from 2014 - 2018. The University’s College of Business presented him with the Distinguished Alumni Award in 2011 and honored him on the National Day of Philanthropy in 2015.
