DEAN OF CAPPA HONORED WITH 2023 OUTSTANDING ALUMNI AWARD
In a proud moment for the College of Architecture, Planning and Public Affairs, we celebrate Dr. Ming-Han Li, who received the prestigious Texas A&M School of Architecture Outstanding Alumni Award.
The Outstanding Alumni Award is a distinguished recognition to showcase the remarkable achievements of former students. Recipients of this award are chosen for their exceptional accomplishments, leadership qualities, and notable contributions to their respective professional fields. It is the highest honor bestowed by the Texas A&M School of Architecture upon its alums, with fewer than 1% of former students selected.
"It is truly an honor to receive the 2023 Outstanding Alumni Award," said Dr. Li. "This recognition reflects my past, present, and future and the collective efforts of my incredible community. I am grateful for the opportunities and support that have shaped my career."
Dr. Li received his Master of Architecture degree from Texas A&M in 1998 and has carved an illustrious career marked by a commitment to excellence and innovation. He is a professional engineer, certified planner, and landscape architect. He has held key roles in academia, receiving much recognition for his contributions to landscape architecture education. Dr. Li joined CAPPA in August 2023 and has been making successful strides in his leadership to foster a culture of academic rigor and forward-thinking.
Dr. Li joins the esteemed company of UTA President Jennifer Cowley, who also received the Outstanding Alumni Award in 2014. The acknowledgment of these outstanding individuals solidifies the reputation of UTA as a hub for exceptional leaders.
