Autumn Henry

Autumn Rae Henry, LMSW, LCDC-I, is a first-year PhD student in the School of Social Work at the University of Texas at Arlington. An Indigenous, first-generation scholar and proud two-time graduate of Texas Christian University, Autumn Rae earned both her BSW and MSW.

Her research interests include mental health outcomes, maladaptive coping, substance use, and resiliency among BIPOC communities, particularly Indigenous youth and emerging adults. She is especially focused on the impact of gender-based stigma, adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), and the role of protective factors in shaping recovery and long-term well-being. Her work is grounded in a commitment to trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and equity-driven approaches that prioritize community voice and culturally grounded healing practices.
